1. Engine Cylinder Sealing Test
There are seven factors affecting cylinder sealing, mainly including cylinder wear, piston ring damage, piston wear, valve seat damage, valve guide wear, cylinder gasket damage, and valve clearance issues.
What are the commonly used diagnostic methods? They mainly include measuring cylinder pressure, crankcase blow-by volume, cylinder leakage volume and leakage rate, intake manifold vacuum, vibration measurement caused by excessive wear of the cylinder piston assembly, and determination of the metal particle content in the crankcase.
For measuring cylinder compression pressure, it mainly refers to the pressure at the end of compression in a four-stroke engine. Due to factors such as cylinder pressure, oil viscosity, and the fit of the cylinder piston assembly, as well as whether the timing mechanism is correctly adjusted and the sealing of the cylinder gasket, when measuring the engine cylinder pressure, it can diagnose the sealing condition of the cylinder piston assembly. If the sealing of the piston rings, valves, and cylinder gasket is good, then the valve clearance should be appropriate.
2. Muffler Firmness Test
The muffler consists of an outer shell and internal honeycomb components, which are combined using a mechanical clamping process due to their exposure to high temperatures and vibrations. If the connection is not secure, it may loosen or detach during vehicle use due to high temperatures and vibrations. However, we can rest assured that the relevant quality departments have set quite strict requirements for this technology.
For actual testing methods, the industry uses material testing machines with compression plate fixtures to apply related shear forces to the two components of the muffler. The measured result's repeatability error should be less than 5%.
3. Interior Inspection
The interior includes materials for seat construction, interior box decorative materials, and adhesives used for bonding.
